Cases of Respiratory Virus Causing Bronchitis, Pneumonia in Youth Explode in East Tennessee

Cases of a common seasonal virus that can be deadly to young children and the elderly are exploding, according to an East Tennessee Hospital.

East Tennessee Children’s Hospital says that it treated more cases of Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in July than it had for the rest of 2021 in total, according to a WATE report.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) describes the illness as a “common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms,” that “can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.”

The CDC readily admits that the reason for the spike in RSV cases is the lockdowns it imposed on healthy Americans last year, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to reduced circulation of RSV during the winter months of 2020–2021, older infants and toddlers might now be at increased risk of severe RSV-associated illness since they have likely not had typical levels of exposure to RSV during the past 15 months,” a release from the CDC said.

It is uncommon, according to that organization, for RSV to spike during the summer. The virus usually peaks around the holiday season and slows by April.

Yes, Every Kid

Last week, the Tennessee Commissioner of Health, Dr. Lisa Piercey, said that she expected pediatric hospitals and intensive care units to fill up with COVID-19 patients.

“Never in my career have I seen hospitals full in the summer,” she said.

Sarah Tanksley, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Department of Health (DOH), was a bit more forthcoming than Piercey. She noted that the state’s pediatric hospitals are not just becoming crowded with youth COVID-19 patients.

“Hospitals are seeing a rise in pediatric [COVID-19] cases as well as respiratory illness we don’t normally see this time of year,” she said.

Alan Levine, CEO of Ballad Health hospitals in Northeast Tennessee, ignored the RSV cases and claimed that COVID-19 alone would fill up the children’s hospitals.

“And children have already died, and others are on ventilators, and ALL OF IT is preventable. So is what’s coming,” he said on Twitter.

Wearing a mask for short duration is very different from wearing a mask all day in school. You can wash your hands between class, but you can’t wash your mask. All the while microbes replicate in a moist, warm and confined environment (where they thrive) forced to be inhaled by our kids. This is criminal. At the very least, sterile masks should be provided between classes and numerous mask breaks should be mandatory. What the hell is going on here?

    THE MASKS

This was predicted by multiple medical professionals who warned millions of RSV would result from long term masking of Americans!

Yes, they knew that masks do not prevent transmission of virus’s or bacteria as is clearly printed on their boxes! Mask mandates caused this peril to our children and to us all !

Lockdowns, mandates, social distancing…etc. our politicians are idiots following quacks. Good for fear mongering and keeping everyone under their thumbs. Can they make all this last until midterms or perhaps elections 2024….

I wonder. Are vaccinated parents/people spreading Covid to their children? What is going on?

    1. Deborah Lawson

Yes, the vaccinated are spreading spike proteins to all who come in close contact.

How many of those hospitalized have been previously vaccinated? There is something very sinister about the virus and how many countries are dealing with it.

here we go, more fear, to keep the kids masked and the possibility to push a useless vaccine, Does anyone beside myself think the Delta Variant is coming from the vaccine. “My body, my choice”. My health is my business Parents take the masks off your children, let their natural immunity work. When I was kid, there were 3 children in my family if one us got the chicken pox, we weren’t quarantined we played together so we would all get it and have herd immunity,.
Masks are dangerous, can cause loss of brain function, and breathing in what you expel is not healthy. Fauci is a Fraud, don’t listen to him, CDC, FDA or NIH.
